 Our annual Sports Banquet will be held on
Friday, April 18th at 6:30 in the Aquinas Center.

2nd Annual Dodgeball Tournament – See RULES below. It is time for the 2nd Annual STA Family & Friends Recreational Dodgeball Tournament. The double elimination tournament will be for adults 18 and older and will be held on Saturday, March 29th. Each team needs to have 6 – 8 players with a participation fee of $50.00 per team. If you are interested in putting a team together, fill out the attached sheet and we will send you an official team sign-up sheet. All teams must be signed up by Tuesday, March 25th. The STA Dodgeball Tournament rules will be posted on the website, so take a look and sign up your team today. This will be a fun-filled day with lots of laughs. STA GOLF

Spring Golf - Information regarding our 1-5 and 6-8 golf programs was given out to students today. There is an informational meeting on Monday, March 31st at 2:45 PM in the Aquinas Center. If you have any questions, please contact Ken Gauthier at 438-3338.

Congratulations to the 5/6 Boys Basketball team! The team won the CYO School Championship game on Feb 20th. The team also placed 2nd in the Catholic Schools Tournament.

Nickolas C. was named the MVP for the CYO’s 5/6 All Star Game played this past weekend. Congratulations Nickolas!

Congratulations girls for a fantastic season. We are very proud of your efforts making it to the Championship game. It was a hard fought game losing 53-50! Thanks to all ten girls who played hard, played smart and had fun! You represented STA very well with great sportsmanship throughout the season!  Thanks to the STA community for your support especially during the tournament! Coaches McNally and Farrell.

Tony A. and Rory C. participated in the CYO All Star Free Throw Competition this past weekend. Tony won the competition, going 13 for 15. Rory placed 3rd, going 10 for 15. Congratulations to both boys!

 Ski Club

    
 

Students in Grades 4 – 8 are eligible to participate in the instructional ski/snowboard program at Pat’s Peak.  Students are transported to the mountain for a one-hour instructional program followed by one hour of open skiing on Wednesday afternoons beginning on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 and continuing for five consecutive weeks (weather permitting).  Applications are now available in the school office and must be completed and returned with payment by Friday, October 26th.  There will be an additional fee for bus transportation due before Christmas break based upon the number of students participating.  The ski program coordinator is Jean Manley.  Please call her at 437-2219 or e-mail at Mrstwmii@verizon.net if you have any questions.

Directions

From the North or South--Take 93 S or 93 N to exit 4.

From the north go left off the exit onto Rt. 102 E.  From the south go right off the exit onto Rt. 102 E.  Pass Burger King® on the left.  Proceed straight on Rt. 102.  This will bring you into downtown Derry.  At the second set of lights, take a left onto Crystal Ave.  (You will see a white church on the left and Dandelions on the right at this intersection.)  Proceed straight on Crystal Ave.  You will pass Dunkin Donuts® on the right.  (see below)***

From the East--Take 102 West.

Follow 102 West to the Derry Traffic Circle.  Proceed straight through the traffic circle.  The fire station and Hoodkroft Country Club will be on the left.  Continue straight on 102 West to set of lights.  (Dandelions will be on the left.)  Turn right at these lights onto Crystal Ave.  Proceed straight on Crystal Ave.  You will pass Dunkin Donuts® on the right.  (see below)***

From the West--Take 102 East.

Follow 102 East into Derry.  Go over Rt. 93 as you leave Londonderry and proceed into Derry.  Pass Burger King® on the left.  Proceed straight on Rt. 102.  This will bring you into downtown Derry.  At the second set of lights, take a left onto Crystal Ave.  (You will see a white church on the left and Dandelions on the right at this intersection.)  Proceed straight on Crystal Ave.  You will pass Dunkin Donuts® on the right.  (See below)***

*** After you pass Dunkin Donuts, you will go through the light with Rite Aid Pharmacy on your left.  St. Thomas Aquinas Church is on your left as you go through this light.  Please park in the parking lot directly across the street from the Church.  The Aquinas Center and Gym is behind the Church.  After parking, cross the street and  follow the side walk to the left of the church between the church and friary.  This will lead you to the gym.

 Please do not park in the very small lot behind the church, as you will almost certainly get blocked in.
